The Prime Minister receives donated items to help flood victims.


Before the cabinet meeting, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, presided over the receipt of donated items to help flood victims from private sectors, along with Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Ms. Sudawan Wangsupakijkosol, Minister of Culture, Mr. Chusak Sirinil, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, at the Purple Room, Thai Khu Fa Building, Government House.

The Prime Minister received donations from the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, led by Mr. Narongsak Phutthaprommongkol, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, who donated 5 million baht to help the victims, and Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Ms. Pornthira Chiewcheingngan, who donated 1 million baht.

The Thai-Chinese Friendship Foundation donated items worth a total of 2 million baht, a representative of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited donated mattresses worth a total of
1.3 million baht, and a representative of Nam Pla Pichai Company Limited (Head Office) donated oyster sauce products worth 400,000 baht.

As for the cabinet meeting today (October 15), Gen. Nattapol Nakphanit, Deputy Minister of Defense, held the cabinet meeting via video conference because he had to be at the Forward Operation Center for Flood, Storm and Landslide Relief (OCR) in Chiang Rai Province. Meanwhile, two ministers took leave from the cabinet meeting: Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and Mr. Decha Isara Khaothong, Deputy Minister of Public Health.-316.-Thai News Agency
