A residence belonging to a retired Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel in Kampung Junjungan has been deemed unsafe to live in. The Royal Brunei Armed Forces through the 'Titian Amal' project has built a house for Retired Sergeant Hamri bin Haji Braim. The key presentation ceremony was held yesterday morning.
The key was handed over by Retired Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces. The project is the third to be held in conjunction with RBAF 56th Anniversary. It was organised as RBAF joint project with the Community Development Department, JAPEM, and the Brunei Muara District Office. Also present was Awang Misle bin Haji Abd Karim, Brunei Muara District Officer and Dayang Rostinah Binti Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Sura Pahlawan Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Tahir, Acting Director of JAPEM. The construction of Retired Sergeant Hamri's house was delayed since 2008. RBAF began working on the house construction since June last year.
Such project aimed to elevate the burden of the underprivileged family and foster closer relations as well as cooperation between RBAF and government agencies and non-government agencies in aiding families in need.
