Tutong: Two companies have been issued compound fines for breaching the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021. The Enforcement Unit of the Tutong District Office identified these violations during their routine inspections and patrols.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the companies involved are Syarikat Awang Haji Mahmud bin Abu Bakar dan Anak-Anak and Syarikat Lunima Sendirian Berhad, both located in Kampung Luagan Duduk, Tutong District. The companies were found dumping unused tires and failing to provide a proper garbage disposal area. Each company received a fine of BND2,000 for these infractions.
The public, along with companies and business premises owners, are being advised to consistently maintain environmental cleanliness to avoid such penalties and contribute to a sustainable environment.
