Bandar Seri Begawan: The Under-23 Youth Sepak Takraw League Championship, marking a significant event in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s 41st National Day, commenced its matches at the Sungai Kebun Sports Complex on the morning of June 15. The tournament opened with five matches in groups A and B, showcasing the talents of young athletes.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the championship features participation from 10 teams. This inaugural event is organized by the Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Association, also known as PESTABARU, in collaboration with the Department of Youth and Sports. The primary aim of the championship is to cultivate quality players who have the potential to join the national reserve and elite development squad, preparing them for future regional and international competitions.
