Songkhla, 8 Oct. - The shocking murder of a wife and her entire family of 4, the family of a former Songkhla city council member, was revealed to be due to debt problems. The daughter and the perpetrator were found dead in the second-floor bedroom yesterday (October 7). Before committing the crime, she had asked her father for sleeping pills, which she believed was used to drug the family be fore using a pillow to shoot them in the head, as there were no signs of struggle or resistance. Officers will send the body to Songkhla Hospital's forensic department to determine whether the perpetrator used drugs before committing the crime. The results are not yet available. The atmosphere at the scene of the incident is still quiet. Only the relatives of the deceased came to collect some belongings from the house to use in the religious rites for the four bodies that are currently at Songkhla Hospital. The relatives will take them out of the hospital to perform religious rites at Wat Laem Sai in Songkhla City together. While the neighbors in the area said that they knew and were close to Mr. Chaichan very well because he was a friendly person. They talked to each other every day. But his wife was quite quiet in the house. They didn't talk much. At the time of the incident, they heard only one gunshot. It was probably the last shot that his wife shot herself.
