The delegation was unsuccessful in sighting the new moon of Syawal. The delegations were at designated locations in Brunei Muara District; Tutong District and Belait District.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the attempt to sight the new moon was conducted across multiple districts, including Brunei Muara, Tutong, and Belait. The absence of the sighting means the continuation of the current Islamic month for one more day before the commencement of Syawal, marking the end of Ramadan and the start of Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
