Pantai jerudong: Stall operators at the Pantai Jerudong parking area have been advised to display prices clearly and accurately in accordance with the Price Control (Display of Prices) Order. The reminder was issued during a recent inspection conducted by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics, JPES, through the Department of Consumer Affairs under the Ministry of Finance and Economy, to ensure consumers are able to compare prices easily and make informed purchasing decisions.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the results of an inspection on more than 15 stalls selling various items such as fruits, vegetables, and dried foods found that a few traders did not display price tags, while a number of stall operators displayed price tags only on some of the items being sold. Accordingly, stall operators were briefed and advised on the importance of displaying prices clearly and accurately for all items sold. The inspection also aimed to increase traders' awareness and compliance with the Price Control Act, Chapter 142.
