The Voting and Selection of Village Chief for Kampung Kasat and Kampung Lumapas ‘B’ was held on 18th September, at two separate locations.
The Voting and Selection of Village Chief for Kampung Kasat was held at Kampung Kasat Mosque. Present was Awang Misle bin Haji Abd Karim, Brunei Muara District Officer. In his speech, the Brunei Muara District Officer underlined that as a local community leader, a village chief must possess several specific characteristics such as trust, morals and just. The three candidates for the position are Awang Johairee bin Haji Bakar; Awang Zamrin bin Haji Ibrahim and Awang Haji E’rifin bin Haji Mohd Yusof.
Meanwhile, the Voting and Selection of Village Chief for Kampung Lumapas ‘B’ took place at Lumapas Religious School. In attendance, Awang Amirol Hafidzan bin Haji Mohammad, Assistant Brunei Muara District Officer. The sole candidate for the position is Awang Mohamad Ali bin Tanjong.
