Visit by Delegation from the Ministry Of Religious Affairs

326 Pre-University One students are undergoing their studies at the Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School. From that number, 166 students are taking Syariah, followed by Usuluddin with 72 students; Arabic language with 25, while the remaining are taking General 1 and 2 subjects.

Yesterday morning, Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs made a visit to the Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School. During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs made an observation on the Pre-University One classes. According to the Acting Director of the Islamic Studies, the students are undergoing religious and general subjects for their learning session. However, students undertaking the general subjects are required to learn Arabic language, Al-Quran, Fiqh Islam, Tauhid and Amali, whereby the subjects will be assessed and examined by the school internally. It will also be a measurement to qualify excellent students to receive their scholarship.

In 2017, the school managed to record a 96 point 8 percent pass rate in the Brunei Religious Education Higher Certificate, STPUB examination, and a 100 percent pass rate in the Brunei Cambridge G.C.E. 'A' Level examination. Also joining the delegation was Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
