The Vocational and Technical Centre, Voctech is specialised in technical education and training, and has initiated a few project. One of them is the Project Regional Knowledge Platform on Technical and Vocational Education and Training, TVET personnel development in Southeast Asia. This morning, SEAMEO Voctech and Aliff Technologies Sendirian Berhad have signed a contract for the project in Seameo Voctech, Gadong.
Signing on behalf of Seameo Voctech was its Acting Director, Dayang Hajah Noorzainab binti Haji Abdulladi, while Alif Technologies Sendirian Berhad was represented by Ak Yusrin bin Pg Haji Mohammad, the company's Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. The signing ceremony was witnessed by His Excellency Roland Christian Grafe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Brunei Darussalam.
Since the launch of ASEAN integration in 2015, all Southeast Asian countries have positioned Technical and Vocational Education and Training in the mainstream of education system and setting it as a priority in their education agenda, and TVET has been identified as one of the seven priority areas in education in the region. Since 2015, various new national and regional initiatives in TVET have been created and co-developed among the Southeast Asian countries, and Development Agencies to improve the quality of TVET.
