In efforts to take a closer look at the progress of Arabic and Religious Schools in the Tutong District, the Ministry of Religious Affairs made a series of visits to Arabic and religious schools in the district. During the visit, this morning, the ministry's delegation was led by Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Acting Minister of Religious Affairs.
The working visit began at Mahad Islam Brunei. The institution is a boy's school with hostel facilities since its establishment in 2014. With its vision of 'Towards Producing True Muslim Academics', in 2015, Mahad Islam Brunei received the enrolment of female students from Years 5 and 6 to-date. Mahad Islam Brunei has 4 hundred and 56 students from Years 5 to 11 and 69 teachers. The school is actively implementing the Intervention Programme in the strengthening of Arabic Language towards students. It is the form of specific learning held every Monday to Thursday through communication skills in Arabic Language to educate students and teachers to master the Arabic Language well.
