The COVID-19 vaccination programme will soon be implemented in phases as outlined in the Brunei Darussalam COVID-19 Vaccination Strategy. The Ministry of Health will inform when appointments can be made and urged the public to validate their respective BruHealth account as well as ensure personal information in Bru-HIMS are updated to facilitate COVID-19 vaccination bookings. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar explained the matter during a Working Visit to the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas that has been identified as a COVID-19 Vaccination Centre for the Brunei Muara District. The vaccine will be administered free of charge for citizens and people residing in Brunei Darussalam who are 18 years old and above.
The Working Visit aimed to monitor and take a closer look at the preparations for the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme's implementation specifically the Vaccination Centre. For individuals who wish to update their personal information in Bru-HIMS can do so by visiting clinics in their catchment area or hospitals. A number of vaccination centres have been identified at four districts. In the Brunei Muara District, the vaccination centre will be at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex. In Belait District, it will be at the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital in Tutong District and Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam Hospital in Temburong District.
