World Breastfeeding Week Celebration Highlights Importance of Support Systems

Kuala belait: The World Breastfeeding Week Celebration, aimed at raising public awareness on breastfeeding issues, took place at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital on the morning of August 6th. The theme for this year was “Prioritising Breastfeeding: Creating a Sustainable Support System.”

According to Radio Television Brunei, Doctor Hajah Lailawati binti Haji Jumat, Acting Director-General of Medical and Health at the Ministry of Health, was present at the event. The celebration featured forums under the Breastfeeding Programme and a mini exhibition. Open to the public, the event will continue until August 7th, from 9 AM to 4 PM.
