Efforts are being implemented to raise awareness on the importance and efficacy of hand hygiene in controlling and preventing infections among patients, visitors and health care services. The Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital in the capital were among those conducting such efforts yesterday morning in commemorating the World Hand Hygiene Day, which carried the theme Clean Care For All � It's In Your Hands.
The event was launched by Awang Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. All officers and staff of the Hospital pledged to always look after their hand hygiene. Among the efforts include hand hygiene screening through the provision of QR Code Scanner via computer screen, email link or poster. All scanned QR codes will be collected and recorded by the Disease Control Unit. This initiative aims to highlight the importance of ensuring a safe and quality health care services through hand hygiene care.
