SC suspends court operations for Bar exams

The Supreme Court on Friday announced the suspension of operations on Sept. 20 in lower courts to give way to this year's Bar examinations. The suspension covers all first and second level courts in the National Capital Region (NCR) and in all cities where the testing sites for the 2023 Bar examinations are located. In a circular issued Friday, Court Administrator Raul Villanueva said all officials, personnel, and employees of all courts who will be deployed to the Bar examination sites as Bar personnel are considered to be on official business. A total of 10,867 examinees for the 2023 Bar exams have filed applications to take the Bar which will be held in over 14 testing sites although withdrawals of applications are usually filed in the days leading to the exams.
