Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA continued to maintain its excellent performance when it managed to achieve the top 201-300 position for two years in a row in the World University Rankings for Innovation, WURI. The ranking system is organised by the 'Institute for Policy and Strategy on National Competitiveness', IPSNC, Republic of Korea in collaboration with four international organizations.
According to the report released, 1,089 innovative programmes from 423 universities around the world participated in the fourth edition of the rating. It is evaluated on three main criteria namely innovation, feasibility and impact. The rating shows that as a new higher institution, UNISSA is able to provide innovative and competitive programmes, especially at the international level. The achievement is hoped to inspire enthusiasm for UNISSA staff and undergraduates to continue to commit to playing their role in making a positive impact in the development of the community through academic excellence, research and community service.
