31st Consumer Fair and Trade Expo Draws Over 350 Exhibitors at Berakas

Berakas: Over 350 international and local exhibitors joined the 31st edition of the Consumer Fair and Trade Expo, CFTE 31, being held at the International Convention Centre, Berakas. The fair, which serves as a platform to unite businesses, innovators, and consumers, was officially opened on the morning of 25th June to celebrate entrepreneurship, creativity, and commerce.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was inaugurated by Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy. Organised by D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd in collaboration with the Brunei Economic Development Board, CFTE 31 will continue until Sunday, 29th June 2025. The theme of the event reflects the spirit of growth, ambition, forging connections, and encouraging innovation across various sectors.

The expo also features the 2nd Consumer Fair Conference, which serves as a key platform for advancing dialogue on investment, innovation, and inclusive growth within the BIMP-EAGA region. Doctor Diana Cheong, Executive Director of the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS), provided a comprehensive overview of Brunei’s current economic landscape in the context of global economic transformation. Meanwhile, Khairy Jamaluddin from Malaysia shared insights on the rapidly shifting global economic environment.
