Jeddah: 500 participants from all over the world, including religious ministers and leaders from 59 nations, attended the 49th Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This year’s event focused on the theme ‘Capability in Hajj and Contemporary Developments.’
According to Radio Television Brunei, among the attendees was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. A special meeting was held between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and country representatives. The symposium featured two workshops that concentrated on health and media services.
His Excellency Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Junid, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, was also present. Organized annually by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the symposium serves as a precursor to the haj season.
