ASEAN Leaders Convene with Youth Representatives at Kuala Lumpur Interface

Kuala Lumpur: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, participated in the ASEAN Leaders' Interface with Representatives of ASEAN Youth at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. During this meeting, His Majesty emphasized the significance of the annual interface as a testament to ASEAN's commitment to fostering dialogue with youth and addressing urgent regional issues that the youth will eventually face as future leaders.

According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty, in his titah, underscored the importance of incorporating youth ideas and perspectives in advancing the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. He highlighted that youth are not merely beneficiaries but integral stakeholders in policy formation. His Majesty asserted that active youth participation in regional processes is crucial for building a resilient and inclusive ASEAN Community for upcoming generations.

Brunei Darussalam was represented at the interface by Awang Muhammad Irham bin Roslan and Dayang Nur Amalina Munyati binti Ismail.
