Kuala Lumpur: His Majesty attended a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
According to Radio Television Brunei, during the meeting, His Majesty congratulated His Highness Sheikh Sabah on his appointment as the Crown Prince of Kuwait in 2024. His Majesty expressed pleasure that Brunei and Kuwait are celebrating the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025. Over the years, both countries have enjoyed cooperation in education, defence, and people-to-people exchanges.
His Majesty stated that amidst geopolitical and geo-economic uncertainties, Brunei is eager to deepen trade linkages by expanding market access into Kuwait and further progressing into the region.
His Majesty and His Highness also discussed matters of mutual importance, such as investment cooperation to support Brunei's diversification efforts. They aimed to strengthen existing cooperation in people-to-people exchanges and education to enhance friendship and understanding between the citizens of both countries.
