Bandar Seri Begawan: Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad, BIBD, would like to alert the public about recent reports of suspicious phone calls targeting its customers. These calls are made by individuals falsely claiming to be BIBD representatives, attempting to mislead customers into disclosing their personal or banking information.
According to Radio Television Brunei, these callers claim that there are suspicious transactions using the customer’s account or Credit Card. They then ask for personal details such as passwords, pretending that such details are needed for verification or security purposes. BIBD urges its customers and all members of the public to exercise extreme caution when receiving such calls and not to disclose any personal information. If customers suspect they have fallen victim to these scams, they are advised to file an official report with the Royal Brunei Police Force.
