Gadong: Brunei Darussalam is currently hosting the 2nd Language Council of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, MABBIM Heads Forum this year. The two-day event commenced on 23rd May 2025, with the opening ceremony held in the morning at a hotel in Gadong.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the forum was officiated and chaired by Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Acting Director of the Language and Literature Bureau, who is also the Head of the Brunei Darussalam Mabbim Delegation. The gathering aims to examine, discuss, and make general decisions, as well as realize plans to uphold the Malay and Indonesian languages through regional linguistic cooperation.
