Brunei Nature Society’s 50th Anniversary

Brunei: The Brunei Nature Society celebrated its 50th anniversary with various activities at Kampung Bukit Udal, Tutong District. The two-day event was launched on 6th December late afternoon, and among those present was Awang Haji Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, Acting Tutong District Officer. The celebration marked the 5 decades of the association’s commitment in preserving the environment and biodiversity through monthly activities with various communities and government agencies.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the society’s long-standing dedication has involved collaborations with different community groups and government bodies to promote environmental conservation. Over the years, the Brunei Nature Society has organized numerous initiatives, including educational programs and conservation projects, to foster awareness and encourage active participation in preserving the nation’s natural heritage. The event at Kampung Bukit Udal highlighted the society’s achievements and ongoing projects aimed at safeguarding Brunei’s rich biodiversity.
