Jakarta: Bandar Seri Begawan: Persons with Disabilities, PWD, are not disadvantaged, they are Allah’s creation who are honoured and full of wisdom. This was among the content of a Special Munajat organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs that was held virtually in conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The programme was joined by officers and staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Ministry of Religious Affairs, as well as congregants from several mosques nationwide.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the Special Munajat aimed to highlight the importance and contributions of persons with disabilities within the community. The virtual event brought together various government departments and community members in a collective prayer and reflection session. Participants from across the nation engaged in the programme, emphasizing unity and support for persons with disabilities.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs expressed the significance of recognizing the abilities and wisdom of PWDs, encouraging a more inclusive society. The event also served as a reminder of the shared responsibilities in uplifting and empowering individuals with disabilities.
