"Chusak", Minister of the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that amending the constitution on the issue of politicians' ethics must not be interpreted too broadly. Preparing to amend the proportion of votes for the Constitutional Court's decision on cases. Mr. Chusak Sirinil, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, talked about the process of amending the constitution on the issue of ethics for politicians. He said that the draft is currently underway and is expected to be completed soon. He confirmed that this amendment will make the law clearer and will not have excessive interpretations on ethics. As for the drafting, the opposition led by the Prachachon Party is also pushing for it. The opposition's content will have to be asked from the opposition party leaders. However, in the end, each party will submit it to the parliament to amend the draft for the parliament meeting. Overall, there will be 4-5 sections that will be implemented, but it must be done carefully. The problematic issue is the phrase 'must not have behavior that seriously violates ethics,' which is considered a broad phrase that requires interpretation. Mr. Chusak continued that in addition, in the matter of filing a lawsuit on the issue of unethical conduct, the court should make a clear decision, not an order to stop performing duties by the NACC or the EC because this indictment has not yet been determined whether it is right or wrong. As for the matter of taking action against the petitioner, he personally believes that the current law already exists. In the case of the petitioner who is smooth, if there is a false complaint, the party must be held responsible. He insists that the amendment of this constitution is not to benefit political groups or politicians, but to amend it with standards or to do something that does not lead to an interpretation that is too broad and to create fairness for politicians. Regarding the amendment to the voting in the decision of politicians in various cases, Mr. Chusak said that the governmen t intends to amend the text of the constitution because in important cases, it is not necessary to use a simple majority vote to decide, such as the case of Mr. Settha Thavisin, the former prime minister who had to leave office with a vote of 5 to 4. He wanted people to use their discretion to consider whether this was appropriate or not. Therefore, there was an idea that there should be a higher proportion of votes in the vote, which will be amended in several sections and it is expected that the referendum draft will be submitted to the parliament no later than next week.
