In raising awareness and understanding on the importance of preserving records as evidence and reference sources, the Brunei History Centre through the Administration and Management Division and Borneo Research Centre, 31st January morning, held a Corporate Social Responsibility activity at Lamin Warisan, Kampung Tanjong Maya in Tutong District.
The activity was participated by Dr Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, Head of Brunei History Centre. The activity included briefing and demonstration on the basic concepts and methods of preserving paper records so that the record materials and historical relics found in Lamin Warisan will always be preserved. At Lamin Warisan, there are various types of reference collections and exhibitions including the Pelita Brunei collection, reference collection on the development of Tutong District, manuscripts and a copy of Brunei Darussalam Constitution 1959 in Jawi. Also held was a presentation of book donations to Dayang Nornaqibah binti Abdul Hamid, the Manager of Lamin Warisan.
