Bandar seri begawan: As a national da’wah institution, the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) continues to advance its activities through both traditional and modern means. The Minister of Religious Affairs emphasized that technological advancements have revitalized the da’wah approach. This includes significant printed publications, such as pioneering the handwritten Mushaf Al-Qur’an and actively working on a 30-juzu’ Mushaf Tafsir. During the Opening Ceremony of the Da’wah Seminar and Exhibition marking 40 years of PDI, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin Bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman highlighted PDI’s collaboration with Radio Television Brunei (RTB) to produce da’wah programmes for radio and television broadcasts.
According to Radio Television Brunei, PDI is also working to develop its digital channels while strengthening da’wah programmes aimed at welcoming new converts and spreading Islamic teachings to non-Muslims.
The ceremony included the Opening of the Da’wah Seminar and an Interactive Session, with objectives such as enhancing public understanding of the importance of the da’wah movement and exploring more effective methods for da’wah development. Additionally, an Exhibition and the Launching of the ‘Sinar Da’wah 40 Tahun di Negara Zikir’ book took place at the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
