Berlin: A discussion session with the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade, BWA, was held alongside the official visit of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to Germany. The session focused on Brunei Darussalam's strategic role as a gateway to the ASEAN market and emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between Bruneian and German businesses and institutions.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the discussion was hosted in Berlin and was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. This session established a structured dialogue between Brunei and German business institutions and set the stage for targeted investment roundtable discussions between the two nations.
The German delegation was headed by The Honourable Michael Schumann, Chairman of BWA. The engagement underscored the commitment of His Majesty's Government to expanding mutually beneficial investment and trade opportunities, alongside fostering deeper cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Germany.
