Effective Da’wah Strategy Discussed at Da’wah Seminar in Brunei

Bandar seri begawan: The role of family, education, and cultural institutions in strengthening Islamic values in Brunei Darussalam was highlighted in a working paper presented during the morning session of the Da’wah Seminar and Exhibition. The event, which marked 40 years of the Islamic Da’wah Centre, was held at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

According to Radio Television Brunei, several significant working papers were presented at the seminar. These included “Islamic Communication in Practice: A Critical Evaluation of Pusat Dakwah’s Strategy,” which examined the effectiveness of current communication strategies. Another paper discussed the “Formation of Young Da’ie Criteria based on the 29 Al-Qur’an Chapters,” drawing insights from Khawatir Qur’aniyah by Dr. Amru Khalid. Additionally, a paper titled “Dakwah Approach in Brunei Darussalam: Perspective from Mualaf or New Converts” offered unique insights into the experiences of new converts in the region.

Further presentations covered topics such as the characteristics and personality of a Da’ie, the use of social media in Islamic Da’wah, and the efforts, challenges, and future directions of Da’wah propagation in Brunei Darussalam. The role of religious schools in the propagation of Da’wah was also a focal point of discussion at the seminar.
