Bandar seri begawan: A female permanent resident, Nurul Jannah Bte Abdullah Argente, has been sentenced to five years of imprisonment for committing four immigration-related offences. She was found guilty of possessing a forged passport or travel document without valid permission, possessing eight counterfeit immigration stamps, and two counts of abetment.
According to Radio Television Brunei, alongside her sentencing, another individual, Mohammad Aman Ullah, a Bangladeshi citizen, received a sentence of six months imprisonment and three strokes of whipping. He was found to have overstayed in the country after his immigration pass had expired.
