Kuala belait: A total of 48 penghulus and village heads representing 16 mukims nationwide participated in the ‘Life Saver 995 Programme’ briefing. The Kuala Belait Operations ‘B’ Branch of the Fire and Rescue Department conducted the briefing, which included discussions on fire safety and grassroots projects. According to Radio Television Brunei, the session involved 6 grassroots leaders and 24 residents of the Panaga National Housing Scheme on the morning of August 7th.
Awang Azmi bin Haji Hafneh, the Acting Director of Fire and Rescue, was present at the event and also took the opportunity to hand over fire extinguisher equipment. The programme aims to provide the community with basic knowledge, enabling them to act as first responders in the event of a disaster.
