Bandar seri begawan: The National Flag Hoisting and Handover Ceremony to Mukim Penghulu was held on the morning of 1st July across all four districts of Brunei.
According to Radio Television Brunei, in the Brunei Muara District, the ceremony took place at the compound of the Brunei Muara District Office. The event was officiated by Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, the Deputy Minister of Finance. The Acting Brunei Muara District Officer was also in attendance.
In Kuala Belait, the Taman Persiaran Menara Cendera Kenangan hosted a similar ceremony. The flag handover was led by Dayang Hajah Tutiyati binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, with the Acting Belait District Officer and Members of the Legislative Council present.
In the Tutong District, the event took place at the Tutong District Civic Centre Complex. Doctor Dayang Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Deputy Minister of Development, officiated the ceremony, joined by the Acting Tutong District Officer and Members of the Legislative Council.
Meanwhile, in the Temburong District, the car park area of the Mukim Bangar Civic Centre Complex was the venue for the event. Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Deputy Minister of Education, officiated the handover, with the Acting Temburong District Officer and members of the Legislative Council attending.
