Bandar Seri Begawan: Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam received in audience newly appointed Brunei Darussalam envoys, foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam, their spouses, and the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lao People's Democratic Republic. The audience ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman on the afternoon of May 3rd.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Her Majesty welcomed Her Excellency Pengiran Hairani binti Pengiran Tajuddin, the Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, United States. Also received were Her Excellency Hajah Nor Huda binti Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Ahmad, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Her Excellency Naureen Ahsan, the High Commissioner of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
Among the dignitaries received were Yang Berbahagia Datin Zaeidah binti Mohamed Esa, the wife of the Malaysian High Commissioner; Miss Heather Mc Intyre, the wife of the Australian High Commissioner; and Madam So Sotheary, the wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cambodia to Brunei Darussalam.
Her Majesty also extended her audience to Her Excellency Sengdavanh Vongsay, the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lao People's Democratic Republic.
