Lima: His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, during a bilateral meeting at Tupac Amaru Hall, expressed his gratitude to Her Excellency and the people of Peru for their hospitality and the arrangements made for his visit. This visit marks His Majesty's third visit to Peru and his first State Visit to the country. According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty conveyed his eagerness to engage with officials from different branches of the Peruvian Government. He expressed confidence that the discussions would further cement the relationship and cooperation between Brunei and Peru. His Majesty also highlighted the potential for building upon the existing bilateral relations and exploring new areas of collaboration. His Majesty also anticipated participating in the upcoming APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and praised Peru's successful leadership as APEC Chairman. During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues, including APEC, developments in ASEA N, Peru's recent status as an ASEAN Development Partner, and the ASEAN-Pacific Alliance partnership.
