Bandar seri begawan: The School Volunteer Program for Badas Tree Planting 2025 kicked off with the participation of 21 students from the Agrotechnology Campus, Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE). The event, which took place on the morning of October 4th, is aimed at promoting experiential learning and nature conservation among students.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the initiative is spearheaded by the Institute of Biodiversity and Environmental Research at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. The program’s objective is to raise awareness about biodiversity conservation and to protect peatland ecosystems. This effort is aligned with Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to the Brunei Darussalam Sustainability Master Plan and the Greening Education Plan 2025 to 2035.
The initiative represents a significant step towards engaging young minds in environmental conservation efforts, providing them with hands-on experience in safeguarding natural resources.
