Bandar seri begawan: The Ministry of Health in Brunei Darussalam, in collaboration with Jerudong Park Medical Centre and Gleneagles JPMC, announced the country’s inaugural International Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Exhibition and Conference. This initiative aims to tackle the pressing issue of NCDs, which account for approximately 75 percent of all deaths in Brunei. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Ministry of Health.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Doctor Dayang Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, emphasized the significance of the event in her speech. She stated that the exhibition and conference are designed to promote a Whole of Nation approach in addressing NCDs. Scheduled to take place from October 8th to 12th at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, the event will serve as a critical platform for fostering collaboration and sharing strategies to combat NCDs effectively.
