Kota Batu: The 'Jejak Waktu' Exhibition: Stories from Artifacts commenced with a variety of unique artifacts reflecting Brunei's identity and cultural heritage. The exhibition acknowledges the noble efforts of participants in preserving valuable artifacts and features collections from seven specially invited individual collectors. The launch ceremony took place on the morning of May 19 at the Malay Technology Museum in Kota Batu. Organized by the Museums Department through the Ethnography Division, the exhibition aligns with International Museum Day, celebrated on May 18.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the exhibition was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji AWANG Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. It aligns with this year's theme, 'The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities,' aiming to raise public awareness about the historical significance of private collections. Open to the public for three months, it provides an opportunity for visitors to engage with the country's rich cultural past.
