Kota Batu: Brunei Darussalam Expedition on Forest to Reef 2025 marks a significant initiative in the quest to explore, understand, and protect the natural environment. This was emphasized during a Welcoming Dinner held in conjunction with the expedition. The event, part of the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition, MYCE 2025, took place on the night of 18th May at a hotel in Kota Batu.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, noted that the expedition aims to contribute to the development of effective conservation strategies. The focus will be on highlighting the vital ecological connections between land and sea. The event was organized by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Department of Forestry and the Department of Fisheries. It involved collaboration with the Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, and Poni Group Sendirian Berhad.
