Miri: A local angler brought glory to the country when he won the 13th Miri, Sarawak International Deep Sea Fishing Championship. Awang Mohammad Taib bin Alikhan achieved victory in both the individual and team categories.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Mohammad Taib bin Alikhan secured his win with a catch weighing 40.08 kilogrammes of Bigeye Trevally, also known as Cupak. His accomplishment at the championship has been celebrated as a significant achievement in the local fishing community.
