Bandar seri begawan: The State Judiciary Department, Prime Minister's Office, recently held the Review of Matrimonial Property Laws Based on Statutory Law and Syariah Principle Programme. The programme aimed to enhance the understanding and skills of Syariah Court officers on the concept of matrimonial assets in alignment with statutory and Islamic laws.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the programme featured a presentation by an invited Judge from Malaysia and served as a platform for knowledge sharing and strengthening professional networks. It also aimed to improve the quality of matrimonial assets case management within the Syariah Courts. Conducted by Brunei Darussalam Syariah Courts in collaboration with the Department of Syariah Judiciary Malaysia, the two-day event took place at the Brunei Supreme Court and Syariah Courts.
