Pulau Bedukang: In an effort to protect and restore Brunei Darussalam's marine ecosystem as well as raise public awareness on the role of blue carbon habitats in addressing climate change, a sea grass relocation activity was held at Pulau Bedukang, 26th May afternoon. The launch was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. Such an effort supports environmental balance and play an important role in mitigating climate change besides creating healthier oceans and resilient coastlines for present and future generations.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the activity was organised by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism in collaboration with Universiti Brunei Darussalam; 'DHI Water and Environment' Brunei Sendirian Berhad and Non-Governmental Organisations.
