According to Radio Television Brunei, Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari announced the theme for this year's National Family Day Celebration as 'My Family, My Hope.' The focus of the celebration will be on "Instilling the Core Values of Bruneian Family Life: Love and Affection; Responsibility; Mutual Respect; and Care," collectively known as "One HaraPan." It was also revealed that the Family Institution Action Plan for 2025-2029, approved by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam following the 2nd National Council on Social Issues Meeting of 2024, will be launched this year as a key initiative in conjunction with the National Family Day. Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin expressed hope for collaborative efforts from all parties to ensure cohesive commitment towards achieving family harmony and national development. The meeting was co-chaired by Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan, Permanent Secretary for Municipality and District Affairs at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
