According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was held in conjunction with the 35th Teachers' Day Celebration and was organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Among the attendees were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, participating from the Ministry of Religious Affairs' Surau, and Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md. Salleh, Minister of Education, from the Dewan Utama at the Ministry of Education.
