Sultan of Brunei Attends State Welcoming Ceremony in Malaysia

Kuala lumpur: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, embarked on a State Visit to Malaysia, participating in a series of ceremonial events alongside His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia. The visit was initiated at the invitation of the Malaysian King and included the presence of His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the State Welcoming Ceremony took place at Istana Negara, where His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei was greeted by the King of Malaysia and the Malaysian Prime Minister, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. A twenty-one-gun salute was conducted, and the national anthems of Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia were played.

During the welcoming ceremony, dignitaries from both nations were introduced to His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and His Majesty the King of Malaysia. The ceremony was followed by an Audience Ceremony where a gift exchange took place between the two monarchs.

The itinerary also included a photo session featuring His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei, His Majesty the King of Malaysia, and the Malaysian Prime Minister. The State Visit was further marked by a State Luncheon, demonstrating the strong relationship and bond between the royal families of Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia.
