Bandar Seri Begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has consented to send messages of condolences to Malaysian leaders following a recent bereavement.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the Sultan expressed his condolences to Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Datin Jeanne binti Abdullah. The messages were sent in response to the passing of Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Dato Laila Utama Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi. The Sultan's messages highlighted his sympathy and support for the grieving families.
