Bandar Seri Begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has consented to send a message of condolences to His Excellency Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore, as well as the Government and people of Singapore, following the passing of Madam Noor Aishah.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Madam Noor Aishah was the wife of the late Yusof Ishak, the First President of the Republic of Singapore. The message from Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah expressed his deep sympathy and solidarity with the people of Singapore during this time of mourning.
