Bandar Seri Begawan: Universiti Brunei Darussalam, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, held the Opening Ceremony of the UBD STEAM Festival 2025 on the morning of June 12. The event is part of the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition (MYCE) 2025 and coincides with UBD’s 40th anniversary celebrations, taking place at the university’s Chancellor Hall.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. Following the opening, prizes were awarded to winners of the MOE STEP Centre Competition. The festival features various activities, including keynote presentations, talks, interactive sessions, and workshops. The goal of the festival is to connect the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics with the broader community through a range of activities, exhibitions, and educational experiences.
