Gadong: The bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and Brunei Darussalam are developing in a spirit of mutual respect and constructive engagement. His Excellency Mikhail Baranov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the country stated this during a Reception to mark the Russian National Day. It took place in Gadong, 11th June night.
According to Radio Television Brunei, representing the Government of His Majesty at the reception was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. His Excellency Mikhail Baranov in his remarks said the Russian Federation and Brunei Darussalam also maintain close coordination within international institutions, in which both countries often share similar views on global challenges and the principles that should govern international relations.
