Jerudong: In conjunction with World Children’s Day, the Department of Community Development, JAPEM, in collaboration with government and private agencies, as well as Non-Governmental Organisations, organized the Voices of Children Forum and Workshop, titled ‘Connect and Protect’. Held at Jerudong Sports Complex, the event provided a platform for children and teenagers to share their opinions, experiences, and aspirations related to digital safety, bullying issues, and mental well-being.
According to Radio Television Brunei, among those present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Twenty students from Year 8 to 10, representing Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School, Sayyidina Husain Secondary School, and Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Religious Arabic Secondary School, participated in the event. The event aimed to raise awareness on the ethical and balanced usage of technology.
