Islamabad: Pakistan Armed Forces, maintaining a high level of alertness and vigilance, have successfully neutralized twelve Indian Harop drones across several locations within Pakistan. Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, provided an update on the current situation amidst the ongoing Pak-India stand-off, highlighting India's recent military act of aggression.
According to Radio Pakistan, last night, India deployed Harop drones to multiple locations including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, Miyano, and Chore near Karachi.
The DG ISPR reported that one drone managed to partially engage a military target near Lahore, resulting in injuries to four Pakistan Army personnel and partial damage to equipment. In a separate drone incident in Miyano, one civilian was killed and another sustained injuries.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry emphasized that the ongoing drone deployments by India constitute blatant aggression, while Pakistan's Armed Forces remain on high alert to neutralize these threats. He described this act as a serious provocation.
He further explained that India, having failed in previous aggressive endeavors between May 6th and 7th, which included attacks on places of worship and civilian infrastructure, seems to have escalated its actions. These failures included the destruction of five Indian aircrafts and multiple drones, alongside significant casualties along the Line of Control.
The DG ISPR criticized India's actions as being driven by an irrational mindset, warning that the international community can clearly observe India's aggressive military strategy. This escalation poses a significant risk to regional security and beyond.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry reiterated the commitment of Pakistan Armed Forces to remain fully vigilant against any form of threat.
